About Dr. Dravon James
My name is Dr. Dravon James, and I am the founder of Everyday Peace. My goal with Everyday Peace is to educate, empower and inspire others to build the life of their dreams. As an author and speaker, I teach others how to utilize everything that shows up in their lives—the good, the bad, and everything in between—as stepping stones on the path to building the life of their dreams. The good, the bad and the in-between show up in everybody’s life, and I am no exception. My journey began in poverty on the South Side of Chicago. I went on to earn a doctorate degree in pharmacy from Creighton University, endured a very difficult marriage, many failed pregnancies, career turmoil and health challenges. Through it all, I knew that I possessed the power within me to not only create my own dream life, but to help others along the way. Today, I am the happy mom of two teenagers, a wife of 23 years, and a successful pharmacist. I continue to follow my dreams and teach others to do the same. Since I was a young girl I have dreamt of a life on the stage. Today, I am also an actress whose career credits include a recurring role on HBO’s acclaimed “The Wire”, many stage plays and independent films. I have faced what many would consider insurmountable odds for creating a dream life, but I have discovered that it’s not where you start or what happens in your life that determines how far you’ll go. In 2002, I began incorporating my personal development stories into my professional healthcare lectures at hospitals, long-term care facilities, and senior centers. My journey and my teachings resonated with so many people that it became apparent audiences were more interested in the Everyday Peace component than the pharmaceutical component of my talks. I was even invited to be the keynote speaker on Everyday Peace at one of the senior centers’ annual staff appreciation events. Today, I continue to inspire and teach what I know to be the most effective tool for transforming, creating and building a spectacular life—tapping into Everyday Peace. My client list includes the University of the District of Columbia, New Hope World Ministries, Today’s Care Adult Daycare, Stadium Place, and Next Chapter online radio. Believe me when I say that you can start right where you are today (no matter where that is) to get where you want to be. I am here to teach you to access your own Everyday Peace to empower you to create the life you’ve always dreamed of.
